An experiential space for therapists, counsellors and those who listen in their work to explore the resonant body in its web of relationships:
BODY as RESOURCE and
LISTENING as EMBODIED PRACTICE
You will deepen your own embodiment, finding grounding, exploring boundaries, relationship, energetics, power and support.
We will explore relating and listening from a kaleidoscope of perspectives always centring your embodied experience.
You might have new insights into how you relate and what happens in the space between you and others, which can evoke surprisingly rich reflections on client work. You might have embodied revelations that will help transform and sustain your practice long-term, as well as learn tools which can support you and those you work with.
Fill your cup by practising in a supportive space and getting some of your own medicine!
There will be plenty of time to share reflections with fellow practitioners.
You may come away:
With insight into how to listen to yourself while listening to the other
Better able to embody congruence, empathy, assertiveness, and positive regard
With tools to keep yourself (and your clients) nourished, grounded, responsive and centred
With an increased sense of resilience and joy

What does this look like?
Practices will include gentle movement, meditation/visualisation, dance, touch, and listening and relating exercises.
No particular experience in somatics/body practices is required. Bring your openness and curiosity and you will receive from the practices and group.
You will work alone, in pairs, small groups and as a full group.
Consent will be negotiated through the practices and you can opt out if there’s anything you don’t want to participate in.
Bring: You may want something to make sitting and lying more comfortable like a blanket, yoga mat or cushion. Notebook/journal and pen if you like.
There will be chairs in the space and you don’t need to sit/lie on the floor if this is not accessible for you.
