About Elizabeth
She/her/they/them
“Let the beauty of what you love be what you do” - Rumi
I was always drawn to massage and am constantly amazed by the power and simplicity of touch.
In our embodiment lie our power, intuition and joy. Engaging in somatic work requires faith and courage - it is work that takes time and a willingness to enter the mystery, but it is a pathway to healing available to all.
I see this work as political and am deeply concerned with our embeddedness in relationship: relationship with each other, with community, ancestors, nature, Earth, and spirit!
We can only go so far on our own, and we also have so much more resource at our fingertips, inside our bodies, and amongst us, than our political, social and familial environments may condition us to believe. Within these contexts that are challenging for all and acutely violent for many, our survival ‘shapes’ or the ways in which our nervous system adapts to keep us safe make sense. I am passionate about meeting these survival responses with compassion, and gently peeling back the shame than can keep us estranged from dignity, belonging and purpose.
Alongside my bodywork and therapy practice, I work in community mental health where I train and supervise volunteers on an emotional support helpline. Connecting all my work is a commitment to listening deeply and following what is present. I work in a person-centred way and truly care about your experience.
I love a lot of things including dancing, travelling, growing things, and connecting with people, poetry and nature.
How I work:
I work holistically using a range of massage techniques and can also guide you with your breath and visualisations.
Collaboration and listening to the body are at the heart of how I work. I put a focus on communication and hope to facilitate a space where you feel able to share your preferences, needs and wishes so that you can get the most out of your massage.
I do work deeply and with an anatomical focus, but at all times I prioritise using a ‘listening touch’ that is responsive to your tissues and state. We will collaborate on this together.
I hope massage will leave you feeling more embodied, nurtured and relaxed.

Who I work with:
I work with people of all genders, and my practice centres women, people with wombs and queer people.
People are drawn to massage for many reasons. I have many clients looking for an experience that goes deeper than the physical, and that is sensitive and attuned.
I have worked long-term with clients who are going through cancer treatment. I truly value being able to offer a therapeutic space and nurturing touch to clients who are experiencing medicalised touch and interventions.
People have come to me with insomnia, chronic fatigue, anxiety, dissociation, pelvic and menstrual issues, sciatica, headaches etc.
You may be looking for support through life transitions, bereavement, pregnancy, relationship changes, and/or looking to (re)connect with your body wisdom and vitality.
