Sacred Embodiment:
Womb Somatic Bodywork & Yoga Therapy
At the end of my suffering/ There was a door - Louise Gluck
Do you long to be restored to a sense of flow and self-trust?
Maybe you have been through experiences of pain and loss, and feel their imprints in your body and relationships.
Do you long for a different kind of relationship with your body and self?
It often feels hard to imagine a way out of chronic pain, fatigue, shame, resentments and low mood, yet some part of you knows you’re not meant to feel like this forever.
Working with the body gets to the root of things in a way that talking therapy may not touch.
In the container of the therapeutic relationship, your protective strategies will rise up to be witnessed and responded to in new ways. Over time, this process repatterns your nervous system, unravelling couplings that were once essential for your survival, but are no longer serving in your adult life.
We attune to your process, listening to your body and trusting that it will show us what is needed, I support you with words, touch, suggestions, and coregulating presence. With the use of nurturing touch, or supports like bolsters, blankets and weights, your body feels directly that you are not alone, and that you are supported. Your expression is given permission and encouragement so that you can be witnessed in your truth, and pain is turned to art through creativity and imagination.
The process is deepened and made more effective by awareness and attunement to your body’s changing needs depending on where you are in your menstrual cycle and life cycle. Discussion and education about your hormonal cycle and nervous system can relieve shame and help you weave a kinder relationship with yourself.
This work blends modalities in the way that the Feminine does - using skill and discernment while remaining open to the unknown, the transpersonal and the new. Process-oriented somatic therapy is highly effective at taking you into and through experiences that the mind cannot even imagine. There is as much space for play, humour and celebration as for diving into the depths!
We prioritise establishing safety and always allow ample time for integration so that you can digest and absorb your experiences. With commitment and patience, you will experience shifts in your identity, embodiment and capacity.

I have trained with Sophia Ansari in trauma-informed Womb Gaia bodywork and yoga therapy, and in Somatics for the Female Nervous System with Veronica Rottman of Waking Womb.
My approach is an alchemical marriage of modalities which include bodywork, yoga, dance and qigong, within a person-centred, trauma-informed framework. It combines clinical practice grounded in the science of the nervous-system with ancestral wisdom and the medicine of love philosophy.
We listen to your body and follow your process. We resource a lot in what is around us, and in following curiosity, calm, and beauty. Slowly your body retunes to be able to experience and rest in more pleasurable experiences.
We take a ‘bottom-up’ approach, focusing on what is happening in your experience in the present moment. While revelations and meaning making will occur, we spend more time in the somatic layers of experience: sensation, image, emotions, impulses and movement, deliberately practising coming out of thoughts and narrative and back into the senses.
This is a holistic and depth approach where we work in relationship with your menstrual cycle and stage of life.

We will start with a check-in and body scan to establish how you are doing today. We gain a shared understanding of our starting point.
From there the session flows with your consent and direction. This may involve movement, simple breath awareness, sounding, and touch through clothes or massage with oil.
Gentle dialogue takes place through the session. I may share my observations and will encourage you to sense and express your experience with compassion and patience.
I will follow your process and offer suggestions and guidance when it seems helpful. There is time in every session for integration and rest.

You may be drawn to a somatic approach having already tried talking therapy. You might have a good understanding of what happened to you but you find that your life, relationships and how you react to events are stuck in loops.
You may have experienced a rupture that is deeply embodied and you sense that you need care and support that touches you on all levels.
Inclusive of the womb and pelvis, the mind, heart, body and spirit, this way of working is extremely well suited to tending ruptures and losses like sexual or boundary violations, preverbal attachment wounds, and intergenerational trauma.
You may be drawn to this somatic therapy in order to tend to patterns stemming from your early, preverbal experiences, or to honour, unravel and liberate ancestral patterns or trauma.
You might be living with chronic illness, recurring episodes of struggle, anxiety or depression. Or you’ve done the work and feel better on the whole, but like something’s missing.
You are longing to accompany your body in a different way and create a different kind of relationship with yourself.
You’re fed up of surviving and getting by. You wonder if it’s possible to fully inhabit and enjoy your life.
You’d like to tap into your sensuality, creativity and power, deepen your self-trust, and commit to yourself in a way that may never have been modelled to you in your family line.
