If you are interested, please send an enquiry through the form below. I will start a group when there is enough interest. It will be on a Tuesday or Wednesday evening in my studio in Easton (The Old Co-Op, Colston Road). Each course will be between 8-12 weeks in length and will cost £28 per 2-hour session. I may be able to offer one concession place.
The Womb Gaia method centres compassion and body-literacy, it will support you to develop your self-awareness, patience, self-compassion and responsiveness to your needs. Yoga helps us to build a relationship with the compassionate witness within, and clear the mud so we can hear our body wisdom and intuition.
I will guide a sequence that will include restorative and energising postures and movements. In the Womb Gaia approach I have trained in, we include and centre the pelvis, natural flowing breath, therapeutic movement and rest. This is an energetic and functional approach that is a bit different to modern asana, taking forms and inspiration from Thai yoga, doaist yoga and qigong.
The course is therapeutic and not an exercise class. It is a non-judgemental holding space suitable for all women of any ability, body size or shape. This is for cis-women and afab trans people at any stage of life, who are interested in this approach. I welcome folk from different cultural, racial & religious backgrounds, sexual orientation and age.
It would appeal to women with busy lives/ work schedules that care for young children, women navigating perimenopause, menopause, people recovering from heart break, betrayal, womb loss or grief, women on a healing journey through CPTSD or PTSD, those coming through depression or burn out, women looking to conceive or support their fertility and women experiencing menstrual- hormonal challenges.
